Your child can attend one of three Zoo Classes based on age with the corresponding time below:

10:00 am – 11:00 am – Dig in to Dinosaurs (Ages 4-5) *Requires an adult to attend with your child

  • Dig into dinosaurs with our conservation education team! For this class we will be talking about dinosaurs, what they are, and how they became the animals that we know and love today!

12:00 pm – 1:30 pm – Mesozoic Mayhem (Ages 6-9)

  • The Mesozoic era was filled with many unique and wonderful creatures! In fact, many of the dinosaurs we think of come from the Mesozoic era! We will be talking about the amazing creatures of this era and how they became the animals of today’s world!

2:30 pm – 4:00 pm – Prehistoric Preservation (Ages 10-13)

  • Most of the dinosaurs went extinct during a mass extinction as a result of a large meteor impact. In this class, we will be discovering how the dinosaurs that survived evolved into modern-day creatures and how modern-day problems are contributing to the world’s sixth mass extinction. You can help, attend this class to learn how!

Cost per class:

  • Ages 4-5              Zoo Member = $12          Non-member = $15
  • Ages 6-9              Zoo Member = $16          Non-member = $20
  • Ages 10-13          Zoo Member = $16          Non-member = $20

Location: Classes will take place in the Niabi Zoo Discovery Center’s Conservation Classroom as well as on Zoo grounds and buildings. Please be sure your child is dressed for the weather.
