Special Event Volunteer
Volunteering for Special Events is a rewarding experience that can help the Zoo with important events and activities. Special Event Volunteers participate on an event-to-event basis and they can help with just one or multiple events. Once registered and approved, the Zoo will send opportunities as they arise to Volunteers to consider if they are available to participate.
Special Event Volunteers of various ages can participate depending on the requirements of the event.
- Adults: Age 18 years and older volunteer independently under the supervision of Niabi Zoo Staff. Some events require Adults to be 21 years and older.
- Adults with Youth: Parents and children can volunteer together! Youth age 10-12 years along with a Parent Partner will become Volunteers and serve as a team.
- Youth: Age 13-17 years can volunteer independently under the supervision of Niabi Zoo Conservation Education Staff.
Perks include free admission and parking at the Zoo for the day of participation. Please note that Special Event Volunteers do not receive the same perks of those active in the Volunteer Conservation Corps. All receive the satisfaction of a job well done!
