Niabi Zoo is a special place for mothers. It is important that our animal mothers feel comfortable in their habitats to have and raise healthy babies. Through our conservation breeding programs, we are helping to protect at-risk species by increasing populations.
Conservation Speaker: Debbie Clemens from Orangutan Outreach presents “Orangutans are Supermoms in the Animal World.” Come learn how long mother orangutans care for their children and about everything they teach babies. Find out about “single” moms, orangutans adopting babies, and surrogate moms in human care.

As we celebrate the longest day of the year on World Giraffe Day, enjoy a tall order of breakfast then go on a tour to meet our tall boy Kenya at the Giraffe barn. Find out how zookeepers care for this endangered species as we work to save the world’s tallest animal from a “silent extinction.” Breakfast will be served in the Discovery Center Gallery.
