Title: Cowbirds, Conservation and Coevolution.
Cowbirds are brood parasites that lay their eggs in the nests of other birds, completely depending on others to raise their young. 90% of birds accept cowbird eggs and nestlings and treat them as if they were their own. Come learn possible explanations for this strange parenting behavior and current research on the Prothonotary Warbler that nests in the Mississippi River floodplain in the Quad Cities.
