Illinois is proudly known as the Praire State. Explore our zoo and experience our many native plants and natural forest. Naturalists and educators will share how we can all create native prairie lands in our own backyards and how we can strive to be good stewards of our local areas.
Zoo hours for 2024: The zoo is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The last entry is at 4 p.m. The zoo is closed on Mondays, except for Memorial Day, Labor Day, and Indigenous Peoples Day.
