Join us as we celebrate these big-eared beauties and the important role that carnivores such as endangered African Painted Dogs play in their ecosystem. Niabi’s Conservation Educators and volunteers will have hands-on activities throughout the day at the Painted Dog Habitat observation decks and the Conservation Station.
Activities: You can paint a painted dog, solve puzzles for prizes, and purchase unique gift items to support Painted Dog Research in Zimbabwe. Enter a drawing to win one of 2 prize baskets featuring a plush conservation animal, snare wire art, a painted dog feltie, a Painted Dog Research sticker and the children’s book, A Dog Named Circus, published by Painted Dog Research. All proceeds go directly to supporting our conservation partner, Painted Dog Research.

Join us as we celebrate our fellow primates! Learn the difference between apes and monkeys while observing both. Niabi’s Conservation Educators and volunteers will have hands-on activities throughout the day at the Conservation Station. Volunteer Naturalists will provide interpretation at our primate habitats including our apes, the Gibbons, and our many monkeys such as the Tamarins, Colobus, Wolf’s Guenon, Swamp and Squirrel monkeys.
Activities: You can participate in Gibbon Races, Hand Traces, and a Brain Game as you experience the difference between apes and monkeys.

All tickets include admission to the zoo, beer samples at more than a dozen tasting stations, and a souvenir tasting glass. Various food trucks will also be on-site to offer food for purchase.
You must be 21 or older to attend.
Babies and children are not allowed.
Gates close @ 8:30pm

Come learn about the plight of the rhinoceros as all nearly all 5 species are at risk of extinction. With 2 rhino subspecies going extinct in 2011 and 2018, the risk is real and immediate. Find out what we can do to help as Niabi’s Conservation Educators and volunteers will have hands-on activities throughout the day at the Conservation Station and around the Rhino habitat.
Activities: You can participate in a Rhino Horn Ring-toss, Bowling for Rhinos, make a Rhino Ears headband, and go on a scavenger hunt! Enter a drawing to win one of 2 prize baskets featuring a giant plush conservation rhino and a smaller plush conservation rhino with rhino snare wire art. You can also purchase snare wire art to support habitat restoration for species like rhinos in Zimbabwe.

What do sloths and snow leopards have in common? They are 2 of our most popular species at the Zoo and they happen to share the same week of recognition. Niabi’s Conservation Educators and volunteers will have hands-on activities throughout the day at the Conservation Station, Biodiversity Hall, and around the Snow Leopard habitat.
Slow down, relax and come hang with us in Biodiversity Hall to celebrate the Sloths. Then leap over to the Snow Leopard habitat to see if you can jump as far as a Snow Leopard and learn how Niabi is working with our conservation partner, Snow Leopard Trust, to help save this vulnerable species.
